Santa Rosa Program Offers Up to $50K for Mobilehome Repairs

If you own and live in a mobilehome in Santa Rosa and have repairs you’ve been putting off, there may be financial help available.

The CalHome Mobilehome Rehabilitation Loan Program provides loans of up to $50,000 to help low income residents repair and rehabilitate their owner occupied mobilehomes. The program is administered by the City of Santa Rosa through the California Department of Housing and Community Development and is designed to help ensure homes remain safe, sanitary, and livable.

Who May Qualify

The program is available to low income households earning 80 percent or less of the Sonoma County Area Median Income, adjusted for household size. Applicants must own and occupy their mobilehome in Santa Rosa.

What the Loan Can Cover

Funds can be used for repairs that address health and safety concerns, including things like structural issues, electrical hazards, plumbing problems, or heating failures. All improvements must be permanent and meet program guidelines.

Loan Details

The program offers flexible loan terms:

  • Up to $50,000 in funding

  • 30 year loan term

  • Deferred payments (no payments due until the end of the term, or when the home is sold, transferred, or no longer the primary residence)

  • 3 percent simple interest

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted with documentation verifying ownership, income, and residency. Because funding is limited, applications are reviewed on a first come, first served basis, and only complete applications will be considered.
